Dispersion and Consequence Modeling
Course Description
This course covers the basics of how to analyze the
release of chemicals from processes, their dispersion through the
environment and their toxic, fire and/or explosive effects. The
development of results that can be used for risk-based decisions or input
to further analyses is described.
Workshop sessions are conducted as an integral part of
this course.
Course is only available for In-House training.
Target Audience
Process safety personnel who need to understand how to
evaluate the possible consequences of accidents.
Prerequisite
A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline is
desirable for course attendees. Knowledge of process safety is useful. Attendees
should bring a scientific calculator to the course.
